The community-based events will provide us with an opportunity to speak out and raise public awareness about the epidemic of violence in our community. All proceeds from the events will be granted to the Foundation who is committed to providing enhanced services for women and families exposed to domestic violence.

Training Workshop

Class V Training will meet on Tuesdays
6-9pm here, at our SDJF Domestic Violence Center. For volunteers, advocates and persons who think they know someone who is in a DV relationship. Participants will learn how to help and reach out to their friends, loved ones, students, etc. There is a $20 one-time fee for training material. This is a 12-hour training and requires commitment.  Women Empowering Young Women Workshop
“Be Lifted, Be Inspired, Be Empowered”
This workshop will meet every Wednesday 7-8:30pm at Gabriels Banquet Facility, Big Tree Way, Greensboro, NC 27407. This is a group discussion for Women & Girls only. Call 336-300-1333 for more information. WE Workshop at Gabriels ended on July28, 2010.

Time: 10am-10pm. Every month 100% of the proceeds will benefit our 2010-1012 “Domestic Violence Kills!” which is apart of our Community Education and Exhibit Campaign. The menu will consist of Ribs, Fish and Chicken Sandwiches and Plates orders.  We will be having vendors at these following locations betweens the hours of 10am to 10pm:

The Foundation is proud to announce that we will be the beneficiary of V-Day Greensboro Campaign!
V-Day is a global movement to stop violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. V-Day generates broader attention for the fight to stop violence against women and girls, including rape, battery, incest, female genital mutilation (FGM) and sexual slavery. Through V-Day campaigns, local volunteers and college students produce annual benefit performances of The Vagina Monologues, A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer, and screenings of V-Day's documentary Until The Violence Stops, to raise awareness and funds for anti-violence groups within their own communities.  Please visit our website for more details on the upcoming events of the VDay Campaign or visit www.vday.org for additional information.
